Hooray for Dancing!!
But first things first. There is still a global pandemic going on. As such, we are going to have a dance taking the following safety precautions.
- Covid-19 vaccine is required. You will need to show your physical vaccination card (or a digital vaccine card via Clear or VaxYes) and matching identification. We will NOT be accepting photos of your card. Your card will need to identify that you are fully vaccinated (2 doses of moderna/pfizer or 1 of J&J) or that you have had a booster shot within 8 months of the dance. We will also be recording all attendees names and emails so we can do proper contact tracing in the case that any breakthrough infections are reported to us.
- face masks will be required at all times except when drinking water. we will have face masks available to all attendees in the case that you don’t have one or you just need to change to a different one. masks must be covering both the mouth and nose. if you are not properly wearing a mask, you will be asked to leave.
- we will be capping the event to 60 attendees. admission must be purchased online. a link will be provided within the next few days. we will NOT be accepting admission at the door.
- Hand sanitizer will be available at the front desk and DJ booth.
To those of whom are unable to attend because of any of our restrictions (vaccine, mask wearing, 60 person cap), We are sorry that you are not able to attend. As a community leader and business owner, we must create the safest environment possible. At this point, (other than not having a dance at all) requiring vaccines, wearing masks and limiting attendance are the best ways to do that. After this event we will be continuously assessing the situation to know when we might be able to change anything. We at Swingesota look forward to the day that we can all dance together again.

Also, we would like to remind everyone that Swingesota is a private business. We have the right to have restrictions for all attendees. We are not forcing you to show any health information. If you choose not to show vaccination information, you are choosing to not attend our event. We are not forcing anyone to take a vaccine. We are simply only admitting those of whom have because that is where we have the most reliable scientific data. we look forward to seeing and dancing with you all when it is safe to do so.
